School of Russian Language Leader

Experience was decent overall. Teacher was very giving of her time. I did not appreciate the last-minute changes of program: the reduction in hours, being told after I arrived that the program I wanted (and had paid for) was simply not possible, etc.

Very good experiences with this school. From the start there was a pleasant atmosphere right away, everybody is very friendly and helpful and the school also organizes activities outside from school. That way you get to meet other people from other groups of students as well. They also organized that I could partner up with students who wanted to learn English so that the students could help each other with their respective language. That helped me a lot.

The classes themselves were quite intensive, especially in the beginning. The classes were mainly focused on grammar, but also a lot of opportunity to actually speak and use the language. Every day there was of course homework in order to keep on learning even after classes. The teacher gave me also a lot of additional exercises and information in order for me to continue studying. This is very useful. I will maybe do another course with this school next year.

The teacher Elena was really good,

she knows how to teach and she brought us around also after school helping us in many ways!

On the other site the organisation from the top and the front office, they are very unprofessional, disorganized and posh .

The location of the school is very central. Classes are very friendly and not so full so I got enough time and attention from the teacher. Also the last day the school arrange a little city tour which was really nice experience. Definitely will join the next course when I'm back in Minsk :)

Overall a good course with great teacher. The location is very centralized and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Only few minutes walk from all the main areas. Study material was provided and the teacher tailored the course based on my needs. I feel I improved my comprehension of the cases and my listening/speaking.

Pros: good location, good teachers, easy to book the course and easy payment, good support staff.

Cons: The school house and classrooms are too small. The address provided by language international puts the schoolhouse in a different location in the city. Language international never informed me the starting time of day one. These two issues happened to my classmate as well.

Cons for being in Belarus:
- You need to register within 5 days with immigration and the process is not simple unless you are staying in a hotel.
- I wanted to buy a course book but the schoolhouse cannot accept payment directly, you must go pay at a bank. In my case I couldn't buy the book because the bank couldn't process the $21.00 payment.

Overall: The course was good and will do it again next year if the government makes the registration process easier (via online). I wanted to extend my course one more week but did not want to go through the difficult registration process again.

I really had a fantastic time at the school in Minsk.

The classes were difficult, but I felt i did improve in the time, education wise it is well worth a longer stay if you can afford at least a month would be better. Everyone at the school was easy to deal with and tried their best to help out.

I met some really kind and postive students at the school also, which helps a lot---if you are a social person, it is great to have likeminded people to go out and explore the city with and just have fun hanging out.

We also did a Bielorussian cooking class which was really great fun and now I can make some draniki, borsch and bliny. It was so much fun and educational

Also, the school is really centrally located and easy to get to.


If you want to have a positive, fun, learning experience in all aspects, I would highly recommend this school in this city.

The only negative was leaving too soon!

It was a very nice experience, my level of Russian was 0, I learned something but Russian is very difficult, surely the school is very useful. I felt good with everything.

My teacher Elena was highly motivated and friendly

The classes were good. There were not many student in the class, just four. The teacher was very helpful and provided me with useful material, on paper and electronic format, for keeping on studying Russian after the course.
The Secretariat of the school was very helpful in solving the foreigner’s registration at the Police station in Minsk and other administrative questions.
The activities for Sunday were interesting, albeit there was only one day in the week of extra school activities.
The School is well situated, in the centre of the town.
The accommodation was good, and the landlord was helpful, albeit I would have preferred to live with a family, with breakfast and dinner included at home; not just because of the meals, but to have somebody at home with whom to speak and practice some Russian.
The prices in town were cheap and the house was well communicated with the school.

It was good, could be better and cheaper.

The main asset of the school is their teachers which helped me not only during the classes, but also after. The school is located at the city center, so everything was accessible. Also this school is a part of big Educational Center Leader, that is why we were able to have events together with students who want to learn foreign languages. It helped me to find new local friends pretty fast.
